If you couldn’t already tell, I am a massive fan of eating out. This habit shortly became evident to those around me as I received a gift card for Cafe Rouge this Christmas. I can’t believe that it is going to be February next week yet here I am still talking about Christmas lol!

So last Friday I decided to put my gift card to use & booked a table for me & my boyfriend. Not only was the meal free, it marked a special occasion: our first date night since he injured his hand in November! We were supposed to attend my cousin’s birthday at the Rivington Grill in Shoreditch but never made it. You can only imagine the despair in my face after I had gotten all dressed up, wasted makeup & a weeks worth of outfit planning to only go to the hospital! You can read more about this here .

Since Cafe Rouge is only around the corner from where I live, I didn’t want to get too dressed up as it was only going to be a quiet night so wanted comfort too. At the same time, I wanted to make a bit of an effort & not look like I was just going around the corner lol! Oh the quibbles us girls have when getting ready!

In the end I opted for comfort & warmth with a baggy roll neck jumper. It has quickly become my go to jumper because it hides absolutely everything by being so comfy & baggy, whilst shielding me from any kind of frost. Everyone needs one of these!

To avoid looking like a bedsheet in my oversized jumper, I thought I’d add some over the knee boots to the look. It was too cold to have my legs out & this meant I could show off my new burgundy beauties from New York! Red boots for Cafe Rouge? Perfect match!
