As it was Easter last weekend & I hadn’t done a makeup blog for a long time, well any blog for a while in fact, I thought I would put a touch of extra effort into my makeup!
I have been so busy these past few months with starting a new job at the beginning of April, doing some freelance work on the side & not forgetting #discoveringdifference! It has just been a complete whirlwind which unfortunately left my blog unnurtured for a while, but I got there in the end & this is what I found for you guys:
NYX Professional Makeup Pump It Up Lip Plumper in Kim
First of all, anything that is called Kim is an instant winner for me. I am not even embarrassed to say that I am that girl who falls into the trap of buying any product that claims to make you resemble the Kardashian/Jenner clan. For the price this gloss retails at, just £6.50, I really couldn’t go wrong!
Now I’m not normally one for glosses due to the fact that no matter how hard I try, my hair will eventually be stuck to my lips. However, I feel like this gloss is worth that inconvenience because it is one of those that tickles your lips with a tingling sensation which to me, asserts that it really is doing something.
It’s quite a thick gloss which makes it slightly hard to spread, but this is also where it’s “plumping” functionality comes to use – the thicker the gloss, the more it gives the effect of fuller lips.
It is a flesh-toned nude (classic Kim K) which is perfect to go over literally any lipstick. Of course, I don’t get time to wear lipstick everyday because it’s too much effort to prep with primer, liner etc, which is why Kim has quickly become my go to companion. It has just enough colour to make my lips look like they have a little something on them, whilst simultaneously avoiding looking like I have made too much of an effort – just playing it cool😎.
